Missing 29-year-old thrown from banana boat in Portugal named as Richard Chapelow
A missing 29-year-old British man who disappeared following a boating accident in Portugal is feared dead by the family he was holidaying with.
Richard Chapelow, a marketing account manager, was on holiday when he fell off a banana boat in Santa Clara Dam and emergency services are still searching for his body.
He was reportedly thrown from a banana boat that was carrying six other British people around 5pm on Monday.
Mr Chapelow was on holiday with billionaire property tycoon Jon Hunt, founder of the Foxtons estate agency, and is believed to be a friend of Mr Hunt's son, Harry Hunt.
A statement on behalf of the Hunt family said: "My family and I are devastated by the loss of Richard, following a tragic accident at Santa Clara Dam.
